YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas

To put Christian values into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, an IRS tax-exempt organization has been helping Dallas-area residents achieve fulfilling, successful lives since its establishment in 1885. It does this well, it does this compassionately, and, most importantly, it does this in partnership with individuals and agencies in the communities it serves. The Dallas YMCA operates 23 branches, an 800-acre resident camp and 300 program sites across seven counties. The YMCA serves a diverse population and persons of all socio-economic levels. Seventy percent of program participants are youth and thirty percent are adults.

YMCA volunteers and staff continue their focus on the strategies and tactics necessary to make the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas the premier human development agency in North Texas to teach values to kids; to strengthen and support families; to help teenagers make the transition into adulthood; and to create safe environments that allow individuals to develop total health.
