Variety FAR Conservatory promotes understanding and provides education for children and adults with special needs through therapeutic opportunities in the arts, recreation and leisure that enrich its students, their families and the greater community. Our organization was formed by parents of cognitively impaired children in 1951.The purpose of the organization was to help solve the educational,social and recreational needs of the mentally disabled.At that time persons with disabilities were unable to attend public schools. FAR has developed over the years to serve children and adults with all disabilities and is open year round to provide cultural and recreational programs seven days a week.
