United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Greater Birmingham's mission is to connect people with disabilities to their communities and empower them to live full and meaningful lives. We provide hope and support to over 2,000 infants, children and adults with disabilities and their families through quality services and programs including early intervention, early learning, health and wellness, activities of daily living training, vocational opportunities, supported employment, housing assistance, and respite funds. UCP of Greater Birmingham was founded in 1948 and serves children age birth to five and adults age 21 and over with cerebral palsy and other types of physical and developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome, genetic disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
