Rhode Island Local Initiatives Support Corporation

Since 1991, Rhode Island LISC has been supporting the revitalization of communities across the state. Working with CDCs from Woonsocket to Newport and from Westerly to South Providence, LISC has invested more than $50 million to help improve the quality of life in Rhode Island. The results have been nothing less of astonishing: the development of over 1,600 affordable homes and apartments; more than 100,000 square feet of commercial and community space; and the expansion of the local tax base and the creation of jobs. Their investments are not only helping rebuild neighborhoods, but more importantly, transforming people's lives.
