Founded in 1983, Phoenix Children's Hospital (PCH) is Arizona's only comprehensive, tertiary care medical center dedicated exclusively to the care of sick and injured children. PCH's mission is to provide hope, healing and the best health care for children and their families. The hospital's vision is to be recognized as Arizona's source for:
• Superior care of sick or injured children
• Advanced education for child health providers
• Innovation, information and influence in the promotion of child health
PCH's Trach and Airway Program and the hospital's Airway floor are designed to care for children with tracheostomies and home ventilators. The program provides intensive inpatient teaching on so that families can care for their children at home. We also provide outpatient follow up from PCH Pulmonologists after discharge. The PCH Trach and Airway Program is the only program of its kind in Arizona. PCH is the only institution in Arizona that offers a formal Trach CPR class and follow up courses after discharge in English and Spanish.
