Camp Sensation offers a variety of zany and creative actvities that foster abilities in motor development, language, socialization and play skills, all disguised as good old fashioned fun! Our goals is to modify every camp activity to allow for full participation from every camper no matter the disability. We also create opportunities for social interaction with other children of similar disabilities and typical developing children. The child without a disability learns to help and interact with the disabled child while preparing the disabled child for other mainstream camps or community-based experiences. Although camp is not designed to be a therapy program, a multidisciplinary team of occupational, physical, and speech therapist, together with volunteers, provide a supportive engaging, and rewarding experience for all who attend.
