Lions Camp Tatiyee Inc

Our Mission Statement is to provide a camping experience for challenged individuals among their peers--that encourages independence and self-confidence.

LCT was formed 50 years ago last year by Lion Jim Busy to serve challenged individuals. The Camp is located in Lakeside, AZ, but serves the whole state. We have grown to our current facility that includes four dormitories a dining hall, recreation hall, heated indoor therapy pool, fishing pond, adapted baseball field and staff facilities. We can accommodate up to 72 campers per session. Each session is divided into age groups and disabilities, so the children are with their peers. Their time at camp encourages them to 'go to the limit' of their abilities and renew their strengths and encourage them to grow independent in their everyday lives.

We also support a college internship program for our counselors, who are in related medical and social service fields.

For the past several years we have been unable to run the camp at full capacity, because of a lack of funds and are seeking outside help through grants.
