Foundation For Educating Children With Autism Inc

FECA is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to providing the appropriate educational opportunities for children with autism based on applied behavior analysis (ABA), through the development of schools, inclusion and vocational programs, consumer advocacy and community outreach. Through these activities, FECA enriches the lives of children with autism, helping them achieve their greatest potential. FECA was founded in 1994 by eight families in Northern Westchester whose local school districts were unable to provide a school-based program for their children with autism. FECA partnered with the Devereux Foundation to create the Devereux Millwood Learning Center (DMLC) to serve children with autism or other pervasive developmental disorders, ages five - 21. Parents are not charged tuition and FECA supplements the funding provided by New York State for each child with $14,000 per student to provide a 1:1 teacher/student ratio.
