Down Syndrome Association Of Wisconsin Inc

DSAW was started in 1990. Today, DSAW has over 1,500 members. In early 2005, DSAW relocated to a larger office space to accommodate our continued growth. We have reached new milestones with respect to membership, revenues, Buddy Walk partcipants and programs and services. We have held new events in addition to our traditional ones. We have introduced a number of new energetic Board members who are bringing a new dynamic to our organization. We had our first ever Buddy Walk Ambassador in 2007.

Mission statement: That all individuals with Down syndrome be allowed the same environment and opportunities as others in which to participate in their community life with no limitations placed on their abilities or their degree of participation and to ensure that all individuals with Down syndrome and their families receive the support necessary to participate in, contribute to and achieve fulfillment of life in their community. We place priority on support and education, and delivering quality programs and services. We have a well defined sense of purpose, a demonstrated commitment to maximizing available resources and a reputation for meeting objectives. We seek to build partnerships with organizations that share our vision, mission and values to assure our children success and happiness.
