Diability Services Resource Center, formerly known as the Bay County Society for Crippled Children & Adults was founded in 1933 and is dedicated to helping people with disabilities. Our mission is to serve individuals who are temporarily and permanently disabled by helping them become part of the community to the fullest extent of their physical and mental capabilities. We beleive that all people, regardless of their ability or disability should have the opportunity to experience the rich rewards of daily living.
Through the organization's various programs and services, individuals with disabilities are given opportunities that may otherwise be unavailable to them. All of our programs are designed to enhance the quality of life for people with physical and mental disabilities. Each year we help hundreds of individuals and their families with various disability issues. We oprerate six main programs: Camping for Children & Adults, Disability Awareness Training, Wheelchair Ramp Building, Direct Services, Durable Medical Goods Loan Closet and Adaptive Sports.
