Civitan Foundation, Inc.

The Civitan Foundation, Inc. is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing multiple ever-changing programs to meet the needs of children and adults who are developmentally disabled. We have been in operation since 1968 and have grown steadily over the past thirty-nine years. We have grown simply because of the demand for our services. We have a reputation for providing safe, effective, high quality services and offer many educational, life skills, peer socialization programs and much needed respite for families.
Civitan's mission is to provide our communities as accessible, safe and affordable environment while delivering superior life experiences to individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages.

Our longest-running program is Camp Civitan, now offering 15 weeks of summer camp sessions, as well as weekend and holiday respite opportunities year-round at our accessible facility near Williams, Arizona. We also offer a variety of respite, educational, and recreational programs in various locations throughout the communities of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, including: Friday Nights Out; Saturday Social Club, Adventures Weekend Trips; Our Night Out program; Home Community Based Services (HCBS), which provides individualized services to people with special needs in their own homes; and an after school program. We are also expanding our state-wide day and evening programming, and we serve as a resource for information, referrals, and support to people with disabilities and their families throughout Arizona.
