Arthritis Foundation

The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. Founded in 1948, the Arthritis Foundation is the only voluntary social service health organization working for people affected by the more than 100 forms of arthritis and related diseases. Volunteers in chapters nationwide help to support professional and public education programs and services for people with arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation has established a host of community, exercise, support and self-help programs throughout its 20-county service region in Eastern Pennsylvania. As a local Chapter and community-based organization, we continue to take new approaches to helping prevent arthritis disability by promoting physical activity and education for individuals of all ages.

Headquartered in Philadelphia with unit offices and staff presence in Reading, Allentown, and Wilkes-Barre, PA, we provide a range of programs and resources throughout our 20-county service region for people of all ages with arthritis.
